Imogene Farthing

Marion- IMOGENE FARTHING, age 80, of Marion, passed away at 11:20pm on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Angel Acres. Imogene was born in St. Louis on May 29, 1929, the daughter of Otto and Ruth (Mofield) Farthing. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Marion and the Marion Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her aunt- Mildred Mofield of Thompsonville, IL Cousins- Evelyn Davis of Goreville, IL Ozra Lee and Velma Hill of Bradley, IL Richard Stewart of Chicago, IL Special Friends- The Doug Bader family of OFallon, IL Guardian- Nancy Messamore of Marion, IL Her cat whom she adored- Dumplin Jean- also known as Dumpy She was preceded in death by her mother and father. Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Bob Wagner officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Paulton. Visitation will be held from 11:30am-1:30pm at the funeral home on Sunday. For those who prefer, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
