Evan Joseph de Mello MARION-Evan Joseph de Mello, 4, of Marion passed away at 8:10 PM, Thursday, October 4, 2007 at St. Louis Children’s Hospital surrounded by his family, nurses and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Reverend Dan Boyd and Reverend R. G. Walls officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 13, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Evan de Mello Memorial Fund; envelopes will be available at the funeral home or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, Il 62959. Evan was born September 18, 2003 in St. Louis, Missouri to Sean and Natalie (Walls) de Mello. Evan was a very loving and imaginative boy. In his short four years on this earth, he touched more lives than most do in their lifetime. Survivors include his parents, Sean and Natalie; maternal grandparents, David and Marilyn Walls; maternal grandparents, Russ and Marguerite Dory; paternal grandfather, James Patton; aunts, Heather and Caitlin Walls; uncle, David Walls, Jr.; and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Karen Patton; great grandmother, Elizabeth Zurba; and great grandparents, Hassie and Luther Walls and Van and Janis Ellis.
