Emily Ramsey, age 25, of Carterville, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 4:35 p.m. at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
Emily was born on July 12, 1994 in Carbondale, Illinois, a daughter to Donald Ramsey and Rhonda LeMay. Emily enjoyed fishing, watching football and living her life to the fullest.
Survivors include her father, Donald Ramsey of Carterville; brother, Donald M. Ramsey of Carterville; two sisters, Valerie Ramsey of Carterville and Julie Holland of Olney, Illinois; three uncles- Roger and Lisa Ramsey of Carterville, Fred LeMay of Marion, Illinois and Kevin LeMay of Florida, and one aunt- Vicky Reynolds of Herrin.
She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, Marion and Delores Ramsey and Fred and Violet LeMay; and her mother, Rhonda LeMay.
Emily’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service is being planned for a later date.
Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin, Illinois is assisting the family with the arrangements.
