Elaine Atwood

Sandra Elaine Atwood, 65, of Marion passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 10:13 pm at The Anchor.

Elaine was born August 16, 1955 in Marion the daughter of Lester Brooks and Helen Mae (Tanner) Atwood.

She was a secretary for Marion High School, retiring after 27 years with the Marion Unit #2 district.  Elaine attended Whiteash Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her;

Brother – Dale and Vicky Atwood of Marion

Nephew – Jody & Tammy Wright of Marion

Nephew – Bill & Jessica Atwood of Marion

Great nieces – Caydence Wright, Katie, Alexis, Elizabeth & Emily Atwood

Preceded by her Parents.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 1, 2021 at 10 am at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Lee officiating.  Burial will follow in Old Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.  Visitation will be Friday evening from 5 – 8 pm at the funeral home.
