Doris Imogene Pratt

Doris Imogene Pratt, age 90, of Herrin, Illinois,  passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Integrity Nursing Home of Herrin.

Doris was born April 01, 1932 in Herrin, Illinois, a daughter of Romal Harvest "Shorty" Prather and Hazel (Williams) Taylor. Prior to her retirement, she had worked almost 30 years as a telecommunications equipment technician for Motorola.  

She is survived by two children, Thomas Gerald Lauderdale (Susan) and Cheryl Sue Toronyi; four grandchildren, Alisa (Daniel) Schnura, Timothy (Brittnie) Lauderdale, Michelle (Brian) Wright, and Robert Harrison; three sisters, Loudene Gee, Murl Crabtree, and Paula Wells; and her seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one son, Ronald Gene Lauderdale; two grandsons, Richard Harrison and Timothy Patterson; her parents, Romal Harvest Prather and Hazel (Williams) Taylor; step-mother- Muriel Prather; step-father- Chester William Taylor;  and six siblings, Ray Taylor, Bob Taylor, Donald Taylor, Shirley Cobb, Judy Holderfield, and Donna Bigler.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 1st, 2022 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022, 1:00 PM at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Paulton.
