West Frankfort- James Donald “Donnie” Rogers, 79, of West Frankfort, passed away at 12:45 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Herrin Hospital.
Donnie was born on November 15, 1935 in St. Louis, MO to Charles Martin and Lora May Rogers.
He enlisted in the US Army on December 3, 1952 and served his country until his honorable discharge on December 15, 1955.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 24, 2015 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Military rites will be performed at graveside by the Herrin VFW and American Legion Posts with assistance from the Illinois National Guard. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin.
