Donna Kay (Zoeller) Holderfield passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Fifth Seasons Assisted Living. She was born February 2, 1942. She was the baby of 11 children, born to Adolph Zoeller and Eva Elizabeth (Douglas) Zoeller. She was married to Jack Holderfield on June 20, 1959, until his passing April 17, 2023. They had one son, Mark Alan Holderfield and daughter-in-law, Kelly; grandson, Logan Michael Holderfield and his girlfriend, Ana.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 28 years, previously serving as Deacon, Elder, and she sang in the choir. She retired in 1998 from the University of Illinois extension services after 20 years as a secretary. She also dedicated five part-time years.
She leaves behind her son, Mark (Kelly) Holderfield; grandson, Logan Michael (Ana) Holderfield; brother, Dan; sister, Carole; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and her special friends and staff at Fifth Seasons, Vickie, Nancy, Mariah, Kristi, Jenn, Michelle, Diamond, and Bea.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law; her husband, Jack Holderfield; her siblings, Adolph Jr., Dorothy, Shirley, Bill, Mary, Joan, Jeanette, as well as her brother Bob, who passed away on the same day as Kay.
Memorial services have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley Ross. The memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Blue Funeral Home located at 1704 North Court Street in Marion, with Pastor Dan Whitfield officiating. Friends are invited to begin gathering at the funeral home at 10:30 A.M. Inurnment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
