MARION-Dixie Lee Garrett, 46, of Marion passed away at 5A:42 PM on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Herrin Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Brother R.J. Woods officiating. Visitation will precede starting at 9:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home; interment will be in Herrin City Cemetery. Dixie was born on December 5, 1964 in Herrin, the daughter of Tom Garrett. She received the loving care and attention of a mother from Sally Garrett.
