Delores M. Yarbrough

June 16, 1937 — March 7, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heartfelt gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Delores M. Yarbrough, a cherished daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Delores departed this world on March 7, 2026, embraced by the love of her family and the warmth of cherished memories. She was 88 years old.

Delores was born on June 16, 1937, in the quaint town of Marion, Illinois, to Carl and Violet McKinnies. Growing up in a loving home, she learned early the values of kindness, resilience, and the importance of family—principles that became the cornerstone of her life.

In 1969, Delores married her soulmate, Jack Yarbrough, embarking on a beautiful journey that spanned decades. Together, they created a home filled with laughter, love, and memories. They were often found boating on serene waters, exploring new horizons in their travels, and reveling in the joy their grandchildren brought into their lives.

Delores was a devoted mother to her two daughters, Melanie Ann Miller and the late Michelle Bradburn. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support provided them with a foundation of strength and love that will continue to guide them. She was a beloved grandmother to Jack and Cole Bradburn, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. Her son‑in‑law, Gene Bradburn, was also a cherished part of her family circle.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack; her daughter, Michelle; her parents, Carl and Violet; and her siblings, Jack, Carla, Steven, Keith, and Thomas. Delores faced each loss with grace and fortitude, finding comfort in her faith and the love that surrounded her.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Melanie, who carries forward her mother’s legacy of love and compassion. Her surviving siblings—sister Janice Wallace of Florida, and brothers Gene McKinnies of Illinois, Pastor Jim McKinnies of Michigan, and George McKinnies of Indiana—hold her memory close, remembering her as a source of strength and loving support.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Blue Funeral Home, under the direction of Binkley‑Ross Funeral Home. A visitation to honor Delores’s life will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Blue Funeral Home, located at 1704 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959, with a service to follow at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jim McKinnies of Willis Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to gather, share stories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched so many with her kindness and generosity.

Delores’s family extends their deepest gratitude to Tammy Newbury, whose devoted care, unconditional love, and unwavering presence provided Delores with comfort and peace throughout her journey.

Delores M. Yarbrough will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and the beautiful life she shared with those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, and an enduring reminder that love is the greatest gift of all. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who have gone before her, and forever cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
