Delores E. Maze

Herrin-Delores E. Maze, age 80, of Herrin, passed away at 1:30am on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Herrin Hospital.  Delores was born in Mounds on February 4, 1934, the daughter of Charles and Myrtle (Hargrove) Menees.  She was a retired waitress, having worked at Hungry’s in Herrin for more than twelve years.  Delores was a faithful follower of TBN.  Survivors include her daughter- Sharon Redfern of Covina, CA Son- James Sims of Herrin Daughter- Joyce Ryczek of Apple Valley, CA Daughter- Harvetta Major of Herrin Son- Harvey Maze, Jr. of Herrin 14 Grandchildren 20 Great Grandchildren Sister- Henrietta Burnhart of Carbondale Sister- Nola Robinson of Decatur Brother- Ronnie and Peggy Menees of Seneca Numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws Numerous nieces and nephews  Delores was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons- James Jason Sims and David Andrew Ryczek, two brothers- Elmer and Lee Menees, two sisters- Gladys Littlefield and Ethel Varnum, and her two ex-husbands.  Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin with Rev. Eddie Lamphere officiating. Burial will follow at PleasantGroveMemorial Park in Murphysboro.
