Danny Lee Davis

Danny Lee Davis, age 78, of Marion, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at the V.A. Medical Center in Marion, Illinois.

Danny was born February 13, 1945 in West Frankfort, Illinois, a son of Wiley and Blanch (Smith) Davis.  Danny proudly served with the US Marine Corps. from 1962 to 1966.  He worked in various coal mines in Southern Illinois and was a member of UMWA.   

He is survived by his wife Judith Ann Davis (Wilson) of Marion, IL; one son, Clifford M. Davis of Summertown, TN; four grandchildren, Reina Davis, Kiran Davis, Amaya Davis, Esme Davis; one great grandchild, Mila (Christian) Beckum; and one sister, Debbie Longanecker of Marion, IL.  He is preceded in death by his first wife Sherry Davis; his parents, Wiley M. and Blanch Mae Davis; and two siblings, Linda Byrn and Bob Davis.

Per his request, Danny's final disposition will be cremation.  The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.  Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
