Charles Wayne Murphy

Charles Wayne Murphy "Murph", age 69, of Marion, Illinois,  passed away Friday, March 31, 2023 at Integrity Health Care in Marion, Illinois.

Charles was born July 20, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of Dale and Evelyn (Owens)  Murphy. He moved to Valparaiso, Indiana and in 1967 moved to Marion, IL.  He worked at Dewers Container with his father then worked for UPS as a delivery driver until his retirement in 2005.  Charles enjoyed woodworking, BBQ's and smoking meats, spending time with his friends and making people laugh.  Charles was very charitable, making donations to many organizations.   
He is survived by his significant other Paula Norris of Marion, IL; three children, Lacee Johnson of Scottsdale, AZ, Michael Murphy of Marion, IL, Denver Murphy of CO, stepdaughter Chelsea (Dale) Hanks of TX; and two siblings, Renee (Dennis) Midgett of Marion, IL and Wade (Charla) Murphy of Pittsburg, IL.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Evelyn Murphy and one brother, Jerry Murphy.

No services are scheduled at this time.  Blue Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
