Carolyn S. Barnett

Marion- Carolyn S. Barnett, 69, of Marion, passed away at 5:20 PM, Friday, May 11, 2007 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Carolyn was born on July 9, 1937 in Jefferson County to Rube & Inez (Beckman) Engram. She married Donnie Barnett on June 16, 1963 in Marion. He survives of Marion. She was a homemaker and a member of Jesus Only Church. Survivors include: Husband- Donnie Barnett of Marion Sister & brother in law- Dolores & Arthur Art Waller of Herrin Brother- Jack Engram of Carterville Brother & sister in law- Frank & Marilyn Engram of Herrin Sister & brother in law- Marilyn & Marion Wheatley of Springfield, IL Several nieces & nephews Uncles- Johnie & Dean Beckman of Mt. Vernon Aunt- Midge Beckman of Bonnie She was preceded in death by her parents and two half brothers; Everett & John Loman. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM, Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Richard Pearce will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from 5-9:00 PM, Monday, May 14, 2007 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Cancer Society or Easter Seals and will be accepted at the funeral home.
