Carol Littlefield-Carpenter formerly from Centralia, Illinois passed away peacefully at her home in Marion, on July 30, 2025, at the age of 55. In her final days, she was surrounded by the people who loved her most. Carol fought for her life with extraordinary strength, courage, and determination. Though her body grew tired, her spirit never wavered. She was a woman of grace, resilience, and fierce love - a light in the lives of all who knew her.
Carol dedicated many years of her life to the Hospitality Hotel Business where she became operations manager and made many career advancements, where she was known for her professionalism, kindness, and strong work ethic. She touched many lives, not only through her career, but through her deep compassion, wisdom, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved.
Her family has chosen to honor Carol’s wishes by celebrating her life instead of mourning her passing. Carol didn’t want sadness she wanted joy, laughter, music, and love. But most of all she wanted everyone together and to be happy. Anyone that knows her knows she was always happy. She wanted to be remembered not for her final days, but for the beautiful, strong, loving woman she always was.
She is survived by her, husband Harold Dean Littlefied of Norris City. Illinois; three children, Erica Carpenter, Jessica Renée Carpenter and Jerry Keith Carpenter and wife Britney Altom; mother, Carolyn Carpenter of Centralia, and George Carpenter formerly of Centralia, Illinois; three sibling's- a sister Mitsy Carpenter of Centralia, Gina and husband Ron Kehn of Florissant, Missouri, and brother Jason Carpenter of Centralia. Also loved by Patrick Carpenter (uncle); several grandkids; several nieces; nephews; cousins; aunts; uncles; and many other family and people who loves and cherishes Carol. She will be truly missed by so many.
She is preceded in death: by her grandson (Baby Connor Carpenter) and father (George Carpenter) both formerly of Centralia who she will reunite with back home.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honor her legacy on August 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM located at 17755 Illinois Route 15, Mt. Vernon, Illinois 62864. EVERYONE is WELCOME. You are welcome to bring a covered dish to share with everyone. CAROL WOULD WANT US TO ALL GET TOGETHER AND SHARE ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL MEMORIES AND GREAT TIMES TOETHER! GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN.
