Betty J. Terry Goreville—Betty J. Terry, 85 of Goreville, passed away at her home on Monday, November 19, 2012. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2012 from 1:00 PM – 2:30 PM at Goreville Pentecostal/Apostolic Church on Rte. 37 north of town. Mrs. Terry was born on March 12, 1927 in Williamson County, the daughter of Fred & Anna (Sullivan) Franklin. She married Moses Terry who preceded her in death on February 26, 1983. Betty is survived by her children, Terry & Joe Lambert of Goreville, Rosita & Bill Scully of Belleville, Barbara Woodrome and Nellie Stokes both of Goreville and Michael & Debbie McKinney of Lake of Egypt; step-daughter, Joyce Stryker of Goreville; grandchildren, Patricia & Eric Neumann, Molly & Josh Parrish, Amanda Stokes & partner Brittney Doxsie, Matthew Woodrome, Daniel & Leigh Woodrome, Kevin Woodrome, Mike Scully and Donnie & Sandra Scully; step-grandchild, John Stryker; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Edna Purnell and many more who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Moses, son, Carl McKinney; grandchildren, MiKaya McKinney & Lynn Peeler; son-in-law, Michael Woodrome and sisters, Maxine Tregoning & Edith Hanks. Mrs. Terry loved spending time with her large family. She also enjoyed reading and crocheting.
