Private Graveside Services will be 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 29, 2001, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Rev. Manuel Jackson will officiate. Ms. Laraia was born September 21, 1925, in Carterville to Leo & Zola (Parmly) Beltz. She was a retired beautician. She had owned and operated the Coiffure Beauty Salon in Chicago. She enjoyed traveling & watching television. She enjoyed working outdoors. She loved her cat Midnight and she was an avid Elvis Presley fan. Ms. Laraia is survived by: Son & Daughter In Law: Sam & Dennie Wood of Carrollton, TX. Grandson: Sam Wood of Port Charlotte, FL. Brother & Sister In Law: Larry & Linda Beltz of Carterville, IL. Two Sisters: Louise Beltz of Herrin, IL. Shirley Desatnik of Indianapolis, IN. Several nieces & nephews Her parents and four brothers preceded her in death.
