Bennett Edward Andrew

Marion Bennett Edward Andrew, 81 died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at 2:50 P.M. at his residence. Bennett was born July 18, 1922 to Bennett J. & Susan (Blee) Andrew in Cave in Rock, Illinois. He married Glenness (Knight) Andrew and together they shared 60 years of marriage, she survives in Marion. Bennett served his country as a Navy Fighter Pilot on the carrier Yorktown and received the Navy Air Medal. He was a member of the V.F.W Post #1301, American Legion, Eagles of Marion, Masonic Lodge of Rosiclare and a member of First Christian Church of Rosiclare. Survivors include Son - Stephen B. Andrew and wife Linda of Marion Son - John H. Andrew and wife Carol of Marion Son - Glenn E. Andrew and wife Theresa of Rosiclare Grandson - Bradley Bennett Andrew of Marion Grandaughter Angela Glynn Andrew of Las Vegas, Nevada Great Grandson Rance Andrew of Marion Sister-in-law Katheryn K. Hargan of Marion Sister-in-law Marie Andrew of Marion Several Nieces and Nephews Preceded by: Parents, only brother Greg Andrew, an infant son, Grandson Scott Andrew Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Allison officiating. Entombment will follow in East Lawn Cemetery with graveside military rites performed by V.F.W. Post #1301 of Marion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the USS Yorktown Association, Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
