Arthur Eugene "Gene" Webb

Arthur Eugene “Gene” Webb, passed away on February 2, 2016 at 7:19 pm in Marion.
Gene was born February 17, 1929 to Arthur and Opal (Rush) Webb in Marion.
He was a wholesale car dealer, owned, trained and raced horses and served in the Army 1952 – 1954. He was a 50 year Freewill Mason.
Surviving are two daughters, Lareva (Doug) Bradley and her family and Kimberly Webb and her family. He is also survived by his wife Frieda and her children; sisters, Alma Hicks of Murphysboro and Shelba Barnes of West Lafayette, Indiana, and a brother Lowell.
Preceded by his Parents, sister – Arvada Glasco and the mother of his daughters – Lorene Webb Elliott.
In accordance with his wishes, family graveside services will be held at Freedom Cemetery in Marion. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 North Market Street, Marion, Illinois 62959.
