Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home Ann Samples-Obituary Run: Monday, June 9, 2003 ANN SAMPLES Marion-Ann Samples-78, died 7:43 P.M., Saturday, June 7, 2003 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Ann was born July 3, 1924 in Heber Springs, Arkansas to Tobay & Maggie (Donohue) Green. She married John O. Samples on May 26, 1941 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on August 25, 1988. She was a member of Friendly Regional Church of God in Marion. She was a homemaker. Survivors include: Five Sons & Daughter In Laws: Johnny Samples & wife Donna R. of Marion Mickey Samples & wife Donna S. of Marion Danny Samples & wife Jeri of Johnston City Pat Samples & wife Beverly of Marion Dennis Samples & wife Zelda of West Frankfort 15 Grandchildren 27 Great Grandchildren One Brother-In-Law: Thomas Samples of Carrier Mills, IL. Two Sister-In-Laws: Roma Samples of Marion Jean Samples of Marion Also survived by several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and seven sisters. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 10, 2003 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Don Colson officiating. Entombment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.
