Andy E. Huff

Andy Eugene Huff passed to be with his heavenly family on June 2, 2026.

Andy was born on March 8, 1920. He was the son of the late Mitchell and Lizzie Huff. He grew up around the Goreville area. Andy served his country in World War II with the army in the South Pacific. Andy was a lifetime member of the Masonic Lodge, Goreville, IL, VFW #1301 and American Legion of Marion, IL.

Andy married Violet Mae Hancock on August 14th, 1941. They enjoyed many years of marriage until her passing in April of 1985.

Andy retired from the Operating Engineers Local #150 in 1985. He moved back to Marion, IL in 1993 where he met Beulah Cooper of Harrisburg. They were married on December 3, 1997. Beulah preceded him in death on March 3, 2026.

Andy was very active. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, playing cards and golf.

Andy was blessed with three children: Dale Huff of Indiana and Beverly Mahan of Marion, who preceded him in death. He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Estes of Indiana.

Andy had a bonus family: Carolyn (Dwight) Howton of Harrisburg; Sharon (Bob) Smith of Georgia; Debbie (Loren) Godwin of Georgia; and Chuck (Kristi) Cooper of Harrisburg.

Andy was blessed with many grandchildren, great‑grandchildren, and great‑great‑grandchildren. A special thanks is extended to his grandson, Derek (Dana) Huff of Indiana, who oversaw Andy’s late‑in‑life decisions and affairs and continues to care for Andy’s daughter, Debbie Estes.

Thank you to Hollybrook of Harrisburg and Hospice of Southern Illinois for their help in Andy’s end of life comfort.

Andy’s service will be at Blue Funeral Home located at 812 S Broadway in Goreville on June 20th, 2026, beginning at 1:00 pm.
