Amanda Leigh Tope

Herrin- Amanda Leigh Tope, 31, of Herrin, died Friday, October 13, 2006 in Zeigler. Amanda was born on October 8, 1975 in Carbondale to Wayne & Eileen (McKee) Helsley. She was a waitress at 17th Street Bar & Grill in Marion. She freelanced as a nail technician for various local shops and clients and had just completed certification for Yoga instruction. Amanda was a free spirit who enjoyed spending time with her children, talking with friends and family, performing yoga and having a good time. She had a magnetic personality that naturally drew people to her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Don Colson and Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Private inurnment services will be held at a later date at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home.
