Akaya Marie Cain

Akaya Marie Cain, 17 days old passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 7:04 A.M. at St. Louis Childrens Hospital. Akaya was born October 12, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Ashley Owens and Timmy Cain. She was a gift from God that was with us for only a short time but will be loved and missed greatly. In addition to her parents she is survived by her Maternal Grandmother, Sandra & Jason Morgan of Marion, Maternal Grandfather, Billy & Jeanie Owens of Johnston City, Paternal Grandfather, David Cain of Carrier Mills, Paternal Grandmother, Shannon Sullivan of Creal Springs, Maternal Great Grandparents, David & Pamela Ellis of Pittsburg, Aunts & Uncles, Jerry Kee, Megan Morgan, Zachary Owens, Becky Hays, Desirae Smith, Miranda Smith. Preceded by her Materal Great Grandparents, Carl & Kay Smith Funeral services will be Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Bob Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
